Making ugly URLs decent

DecentURL uses the freemium business model – you get the basic stuff free, but pay just $7.00 and you’ll get life-long access to our premium services: edit your URLs, view click counts, and automatically detect broken links.

Screenshot of "my urls" page

Get started by clicking on “my urls” at the top right. You can view your URLs and, if you’ve paid, use the premium stuff. Payment is via microPledge, so if you haven’t paid, you’ll be taken there to sign in and pay.

Edit your URLs

As a premium user, you can edit the URLs you’ve created. Useful if the destination page has moved or changed its web address.

View click counts

You can view live counts showing how many people have clicked on your URLs. The figures will be shown on the “my urls” page as soon as you’ve paid.

This one’s really handy for people who create web pages or documents with links that need to stay good.

For example, you want your résumé or CV to look good, not have broken links all over the place. But what if you’ve linked to your previous boss’s home page, and he changes his web address? Now your résumé is broken too!

But use DecentURL links, and our broken link detector will check your links every 3 days and email you if they’ve broken. You can then edit and fix them – not just for you, but for everyone who’s got a copy of your résumé.

Read more about how broken links are detected.
